The goal of the Plan is to build the foundation for a coordinated system to improve workforce literacy in the following areas: Intake/Skills Assessment; Performance Measurement/Quality Standards; Data Management; Business-Education Partnership Building; and Provider Capacity Building. |

First year implementation of Literacy@Work Action Plan including: selection of Core Adult Literacy Provider Group to develop and pilot new programs, and launching of Workforce Volunteer Program and Train-the-Trainer Program. The Literacy Network received a generous grant from Chevron, the Weingart Foundation, and S. Mark Taper Foundation to support these new programs. |
